During this session we will explore what Privilege means and how it impacts the Workplace Environment.  So what is Privilege?  Privilege is a special right, advantage, or immunity granted or available only to a particular person or group of people.

Attorneys Patricia Trainor and Joan Farrell from Business Legal Resources will offer what businesses can and cannot do to promote diversity and challenge cycle of Privilege in the Workplace from the legal perspective. Betsy Silva of the US Office of Diversity & Inclusion for Boehringer Ingelheim USA will address what role she plays in helping her organization move forward in creating an inclusive workplace for all employees.

Featured Speakers:   Karen Eichstaedt, Lisa Blozie and Sandy Spencer, SPHR 

Karen Eichstaedt is currently the Vice-President of Human Resources for UCFS, a community-based health and social services organization.  Karen’s 30+ year in HR career spans educational, manufacturing, hospitality and food service sectors.  She organized her organization’s current efforts to identify and adopt a zero-tolerance towards bullying. 

Linda Blozie is the Director of Training and Prevention for the Connecticut Coalition Against Domestic Violence (CCADV).  Linda has worked in the field of domestic violence for over twenty five years. Presently, she is responsible for overseeing the Coalition’s prevention, public outreach and training activities.    

Sandy Spencer has more than 25 years of Human Resources experience in a variety of industries.   Sandy is Director of Human Resources for S&S Worldwide, Inc based in Colchester, CT.   At S&S, Sandy is responsible for all human resources practices and strategies including workplace safety.
