 PHR/SPHR CERTIFICATION

HR Competency Ad

Certification is a voluntary action by a professional group to establish a system to grant recognition to professionals who have met a specific level of training and work experience. Certifications differ from certificate programs because they include an experience component. If you are a knowledge seeker, would  like to advance your career through knowledge, or you are interested in continuous learning and networking opportunities, then obtaining your professional certification is right for you.

Classes are offered periodically through local colleges and universities to prepare students for the PHR and SPHR exams.  Sandra Spencer, SPHR, is the HRLA Co-Vice President of Programs and Education, and teaches the SHRM Learning System Course through Eastern Connecticut State University.  Click here to view more details about her classes.

If you have questions about earning your certification, please visit the HRCI website at www.hrci.org or email Sandy Spencer at sspencer@rich.com.

The SHRM Learning System – the #1 PHR/SPHR Cert Prep Tool* – has been designed by subject matter experts, and includes discussion questions, application exercises, and module exams to develop specific HR competencies. Professionals who use the Learning System to prepare for the PHR and SPHR exams consistently beat the national pass rate!
