In order to meet the needs of the US Navy, Electric Boat will need to hire the brightest minds available. With a continuously expanding workforce, we will need to bolster our Staffing Organization by hiring an additional Staffing HR Representative.
As a Staffing HR Representative, you will be working hand-in-hand with members of the HR organization as well as representatives from across all organizations within Electric Boat. Tasks and responsibilities in this role include:
Working with hiring managers/directors/VPs to identify hiring needs and set goals
Developing effective recruiting plans and strategies
Developing and maintaining metrics
Assessing assigned positions to develop job descriptions and job candidate profiles
Working with hiring managers and department staff to better understand positions being filled.
Assisting hiring managers in writing effective personnel requisitions tailored to their needs
Screening the applicant pool to ensure the right candidates are provided to hiring managers
Executing the interview, selection, offer and hiring process
Developing reports to keep management involved and updated on the status of their hiring efforts
Analyzing workforce data to determine trends and help to forecast hiring needs
Ensuring regulatory aspects of the full cycle recruitment process is compliance with federal and state employment legislation
Provide expert advice and coaching to employees regarding career development
Review and benchmark internal movement to improve HR policies and initiatives
This position provides an opportunity to gain exposure throughout management within Electric Boat. In this role, you will in essence be the face of the Staffing Organization for your assigned organizations. You will be the primary point of contact for all staffing needs for all levels of management throughout your groups.
A four year BS/BA degree is required
5 years or more of experience in full cycle Staffing/Recruiting
5 years or more of experience with HR systems and applicant tracking systems
2 years or more of experience with sourcing and full cycle recruitment
Experience with MS Office is required (Word, Excel, OneNote, PowerPoint)
Degrees in Human Resources, Business Administration/Management and IT/HRIS degrees are preferred
Social Media recruiting experience (LinkedIn, Indeed, CareerBuilder, etc.)
Experience with developing metrics, data analysis, and reporting
iCIMS ATS experience is strongly desired
Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills are required
Ability to work independently
Strong organizational, project management, presentation skills
Ability to work in a team environment is essential
