Our committees present a variety of activities in which you can become involved, and any assistance and time you can offer is much appreciated! Communications and Marketing Committee
This committee, headed by our VP of Communications, is responsible for promoting chapter activities and events. Responsibilities include creating event flyers, designing the chapter’s newsletter, managing the chapter’s social media presence, and working with our webmaster to maintain our website.
Lead by our VP of Membership, this committee is largely responsible for the recruitment and retention of HRLA members. Other duties include maintaining the membership database and promoting membership to the HR community at large. Committee members welcome new members at each meeting, and respond to requests for information about membership.
This committee selects topics of broad interest and coordinates speakers for meetings throughout the year. With leadership from the VP of Programs, this group works with local venues to manage all logistics for chapter events. Other responsibilities include submitting programs for certification credit approval, and distributing and collecting program evaluation surveys at each meeting.
Board members generally serve a term of two (2) years. Occasionally a seat will become vacant mid-term; when these vacancies occur, an announcement is made at the meeting following the vacancy. If you are interested in serving on the Board of Directors, please contact email@example.com.
