HR Manager – Part-time (20 hours/week)

If you are an experienced, pro-active HR Manager seeking part-time employment where you can utilize your expertise in the field of HR, we’d like to talk to you!  This is a part-time, on-site position.

Position summary:  Develop, implement and maintain human resource policies and procedures, support department managers and employees regarding personnel issues.  Oversee recruiting, interviewing, hiring and onboarding of employees.  Consult with management on strategy and workforce planning as needed.

Duties include:

  • Develops/implements HR strategies for talent acquisition, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, maintaining job descriptions, compensation review, performance appraisals, employee retention.
  • Develops, implements and evaluates the bank’s Human Resource policies and procedures.  Prepares, maintains and updates the Employee Handbook annually or more often as needed to maintain legal compliance and current practice.
  • Monitors and makes recommendations to ensure the Bank complies with applicable HR laws and regulations.
  • Conducts investigations and represents the Bank at legal hearings.
  • Serves as EEO Officer, maintains affirmative action program.
  • Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee related issues.  Ensure appropriate documentation.
  • Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation.  Conducts exit interviews.
  • Actively participates in civic and community activities to promote a positive image of Eastern and our products and services.

  • Proactive and strategic, with ability to both develop and implement policies and programs.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both written and verbally
  • Ability to collaborate across the organization
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
  • Working knowledge of personal computers and proficiency in Window based computer systems.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or related Human Resources training and a minimum of five years’ applicable experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
