Implements Human Resources policies as a generalist, partnering with business operations to ensure a complete understanding of business needs and objectives and resolves HR issues. Responsible for and/or serves as a HR liaison for most of the following areas: succession planning, talent acquisition and management, employee relations, compensation, benefits, EEO, and/or training and development.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
§ Drives talent acquisition initiatives for non-exempt positions. Utilizes applicant tracking system, online job boards, cold-calling, and networking to recruit and attract talent to the organization.
§ Manages and coordinates hourly performance review process. Partner with managers to ensure compensation and performance plans are aligned.
§ Manages and coordinates hourly employee succession planning including gap analysis, career development planning, and performance differentiation.
§ Administers and manages all company benefits and leave programs including medical, dental, 401k, pension, FMLA, STD/LTD, unemployment, workers compensation.
§ Administers and manages employee payroll for hourly, salary, and temporary employees. This includes entering paid time off, submitting deductions, payroll changes, direct deposit information, etc.
§ Creates a culture of employee engagement and satisfaction through progressive and creative initiatives.
§ Creates and maintains department/job specific training plans.
§ Maintains current understanding of new/existing laws/regulations that affect the human resources profession and relays that information to management.
§ Attends employee, manager, and staff meetings to ensure proper communication and understanding of business operations.
§ Develop and maintain compliance programs such as EEO and AAP.
Outside/inside contacts which involve carrying out policy and programs where considerable tact is required. Will occasionally deal with other divisions of PCC Structurals.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related field
2-5 years’ experience in Human resources preferred
PHR certification preferred
Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to establish and build relationships with line management, providing feedback and suggestions for improvements
Ability to handle confidential information responsibly and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
