The State of Connecticut, Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Behavioral Health Program Manager (PCN 27691) to join our team in Bridgeport. This position will oversee our Inpatient Staffing office at the Greater Bridgeport Community Mental Health Center, a facility within the Southwest Connecticut Mental Health System (SWCMHS). Work Schedule: Monday – Friday
Work Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Work Shift: First shift, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Location: 1635 Central Ave, Bridgeport, CT

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
Works as program manager supporting the Directors of Nursing by leading all aspects of major decisions relating to staff including hiring, staffing, scheduling, overtime, collective bargaining agreement compliance, evaluation, training and employee relations issues;
Assists with formulating policies and procedures in a managed service system;
Coordinates compliance of all staffing procedures with the agency policies, legal standards and collective bargaining unit contract;
Conducts audits and ensures compliance with Joint Commission and other regulatory standards and requirements;
Prepares day-to-day reports and updates for management review and supports an amicable work environment;
Uses strong communication and interpersonal skills in a lively and demanding setting.
In this role, discover the opportunity to:
Serve as the administrative program manager implementing policy, goals and objectives, planning and staffing of three inpatient continuously operating units consistent with agency mission and policy.
Identify key department staffing needs ensuring the continuity of care and delivery of services.
Support Directors of Nursing by coordinating, planning and handling program activities.
