The Connecticut Business Group on Health’s (CTBGH) mission is to help you prepare and take full advantage of what is coming. Learn about things that you aren’t hearing anywhere else, and leave with information and knowledge that you can apply immediately.

At the last CTBGH general membership meeting our focus was on the idea of empowering employees to make better decisions about their health. We learned more about Choosing Wisely, and their work to promote better conversations between clinicians and patients.

Our April 1st CTBGH general membership meeting will introduce you to some of the vendors offering innovative solutions that bring together elements of tech, new science, and retail to create more effective and satisfying experiences for consumers. The healthcare system is experiencing dramatic changes, and you will hear from these vendors how they are driving change!

Meeting Agenda
•    CTBGH Update – Hugh Penney, Sr. Dir. Compensation & Benefits, Yale University
•    Embracing Change – Harriet Aaronson, Corporate Health and Wellness Consultant. Harriet is the former AVP of Corporate Health and Wellness for The Hartford. Ms. Aaronson has introduced and expanded a variety of programs for employees and their families including health advocacy, lifestyle change to reverse metabolic risk syndrome, physical activity, a wellness portal offering all levels of intervention including coaching and disease management and an enterprise-wide biometric screening and flu vaccination program.
o Vendor Briefings – Each vendor will have 30 minutes to introduce their company, the problem that they are focused on solving, and the innovative approaches that they are using. The focus of these presentations will be on educating the audience on the opportunities to engage employees in new and different ways.
