Webinar:  The HR Bermuda Triangle: FMLA, ADA and Workers Compensation 

Human Resources professionals face medical leave requests daily. This webinar will provide an overview of the three primary statutory schemes that must be considered when determining employee eligibility for medical leave and whether the leave is paid or unpaid. Learning objectives:

  • Understand what the Family and Medical Leave Act is, what employers are covered by the act, what employees are eligible under the act and the rights of those employees
  • Understand what the Americans with Disabilities Act is as it applies to employment, what employers are covered by the act, what employees are eligible under the act and the rights of those employees
  • Understand what Workers Compensation is, what employers are covered by the act, what employees are eligible under the act and the rights of those employees
  • Discuss the interplay between FMLA, ADA and Workers Compensation

Meredith G. Diette, Esq. represents public and private employers before state and federal courts and administrative agencies, including the Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities, the National Labor Relations Board, and the State Board of Labor Relations on a variety of employment-related matters such as claims of discrimination, wrongful discharge, retaliation, sexual harassment, unemployment, and employee discipline.
