Webinar: Reasonable Accommodations Update – A Moving Target? RE: May 9th EEOC Guidance
Featured Speakers: Michael J. Soltis and Jennifer L. Schancupp of Jackson Lewis, P.C.
Topic:
Employers of 15 or more employees have an obligation under the Americans with Disabilities Act to make reasonable accommodations which permit individuals with disabilities to perform their jobs. A reasonable accommodation is, generally, “any change in the work environment or in the way things are customarily done that enables an individual with a disability to enjoy equal employment opportunity.” What does this mean? Is the meaning of what is a reasonable accommodation a moving target depending on the circumstances? Join us as we discuss recent developments on reasonable accommodations, including telecommuting, chemical sensitivities, and leave. Our discussion will address the long-awaited guidance from the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission – issued on May 9, 2016 — on leave as a reasonable accommodation.
