At the conclusion of our HR Strategic Planning event, Bob Greene introduced a new concept and tool that fits squarely in the Opportunity quadrant of SWOT: HR Function Roles Mapping – a practical tool and mini-process to collaborate with your senior leadership team, about what your HR function does today, and what it could/should do differently in the future to better influence organization success. The result is a “stronger seat at the table”, and a consensus about how the HR function can best prioritize $, time, and effort to catalyze change and success. To test and troubleshoot this approach, Bob is forming an HRLA focus group to complete a quick set of activities during the next 3-4 weeks.
